Session 1
Working together towards accessibility
1:00 – 2:00 pm, EDT
In 2025, the University of Houston Libraries Acquisitions & Resource Sharing Department embarked on a project to meet requirements for the accessibility of digital documents per ADA Title II. The project relied on close collaboration among staff members across multiple units within the library and with colleagues in the university's Office of Equal Opportunity Services. The Resource Sharing team made great strides on this project despite internal leadership changes and technical challenges with equipment. This program describes opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration, steps taken, the impacts of the project so far, and lessons learned.

Session 2 Lightning talk
It's a small shop after all: Focusing on small ILL operations
2:00 – 2:30 pm, EDT
Resource sharing discussions, literature, and conferences often leave out the unique experience of smaller ILL departments run by just one or two staff. We are exploring ways to facilitate necessary collaboration and communication between resource sharing practitioners at small shops. We will share results from our survey of smaller departments and address topics of specific interest to small shops, such as budget, staffing, and workload concerns. Join us if you wear many hats, spin many plates, and want to connect with others who do too.
