Description of Enhancement
Publish Release Notes either prior to or concurrent with any product upgrade or enhancement release.
Issues Enhancement Will Resolve
There have been times that a product upgrade or enhancement release has been completed with no release notes, causing some confusion about how the release affects the systems. An example would be the recent enhancement to the WMS Patron data, which combined the Circulation and IDM expiration dates. Without any release notes, I was left to my own devices to try to figure out how to deal with this change. This affected my workflows, and I needed to find a solution. Luckily in this case I was able to find a solution with the help of the Community Center members, but it could be much different in future situations.
Current Workaround
Currently I ask around to see if there are release notes coming, if anyone knows what's going on, etc.
