About Andrew K. Pace
I am Executive Director for Networked Library Services at OCLC. I am also Vice President/President Elect of LITA. On occasion, I am known for pontificating—on stage, in writing, and via the web—on a variety of issues important to libraries.
Before joining OCLC, I was Head of Information Technology at NCSU Libraries, (1999-2007) where I participated and led several digital library
projects, including ILS migration, web interface design, and the design
and deployment of a faceted browse catalog (Endeca) and Electronic
Resource Management system (E-Matrix). Prior to NCSU, I was a product
manager for library vendor, Innovative Interfaces. Until recently, I
was the "Technically Speaking" columnist for American Libraries magazine, the original home of this blog.
